Copyright & DMCA Policy

1. Policy Introduction

Welcome to Sell Your Sound. We are committed to protecting the intellectual property of creators. This policy outlines how we handle copyright, ownership, and DMCA procedures on our platform. By using our services, you agree to respect the rights of others and adhere to these guidelines.

2. Ownership of Submitted Content

You retain full ownership of the music and content you submit to Sell Your Sound. We do not claim any copyright over your creative work. By submitting, you grant us a limited license necessary to operate the platform, such as hosting and sharing your previews with curators.

3. Your Responsibility When Submitting Content

You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the necessary rights to any content you upload. This includes clearing all samples, interpolations, and guest performances. Submitting content that infringes on the rights of others is a violation of our terms.

4. AI and AI-Assisted Content + No Unauthorized Impersonation

We welcome AI-generated content, provided it does not violate copyright laws. You may not use AI to create unauthorized voice clones or impersonations of established artists without their explicit, documented permission. All AI-assisted work must still meet our community standards.

5. Copyright Complaints + DMCA Counter-Notification + Removal or Restriction of Content

If you believe your work has been copied in a way that constitutes copyright infringement, please submit a formal complaint via our Contact page. We respond to valid DMCA notices by removing or disabling access to the allegedly infringing material. Users may submit counter-notifications if they believe material was removed in error.

6. Repeat Infringers + False or Abusive Copyright Claims

Sell Your Sound maintains a strict repeat infringer policy. Accounts found to consistently violate copyright will be terminated. Conversely, submitting false or abusive copyright claims is also a violation of our terms and may lead to account restrictions.

7. Third-Party Platforms + Curator Responsibilities

Curators are responsible for the content they feature on their respective third-party platforms (Spotify, SoundCloud, etc.). While Sell Your Sound facilitates connections, final placement and adherence to external platform copyright rules remain the curator's responsibility.

8. Sell Your Sound Content and Branding + Changes to This Policy + Contact

All logos, designs, and platform architecture are the property of Sell Your Sound. We reserve the right to update this policy at any time. For questions regarding copyright or this policy, please reach out to us directly through our official support channels.

Do you need to report an infringement?

“Your work belongs to you. We expect everyone here to respect that.”

3. Your Responsibility When Submitting Content

You are solely responsible for the content you upload, post, or otherwise make available through Sell Your Sound. By submitting content, you represent and warrant that you have all necessary rights, licenses, and permissions to grant the rights mentioned in this policy and that your content does not infringe upon the intellectual property rights of any third party.

4. AI and AI-Assisted Content + No Unauthorized Impersonation

We welcome innovation, including AI-generated or AI-assisted music. However, you must ensure that such content does not violate copyright laws or impersonate real artists without authorization. Sell Your Sound strictly prohibits the use of AI to create 'deepfake' vocals or unauthorized likenesses of established performers. Content found to be deceptive or infringing in this manner will be removed immediately.

6. Repeat Infringers + False or Abusive Copyright Claims

Sell Your Sound maintains a zero-tolerance policy for repeat copyright infringement. Accounts that chronically receive valid DMCA notices will be permanently terminated across our ecosystem. Conversely, any user who submits knowingly false, misleading, or abusive copyright claims is in violation of our Terms and may face account restriction or legal action. We believe in protecting intellectual property while ensuring our submission platform remains a safe and fair space for all music creators.

Sell Your Sound Content and Branding

All content on Sell Your Sound, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of Sell Your Sound or its content suppliers and protected by international copyright laws. Unauthorized use of our brand assets is strictly prohibited.

We reserve the right to update this Copyright & DMCA Policy at any time. Significant changes will be announced on our platform. Your continued use of the service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
